Steep Sloped Backyard Custom Inground Swimming Pool Installation In Oshawa, Durham Region, Ontario

The homeowners wanted a backyard that could be both fun and entertaining, as well as relaxing, to achieve the perfect balance of play and rest.

They requested a tropical style for their project that would create a feeling of zen and it was important to them that the space be kid friendly for their two daughters to enjoy safely, as well as dog friendly for their two pugs.

For the perfect way to cool off in the summer, we installed a 10’ by 24’ custom inground rectangular pool that included a waterfall feature that provides a tropical aspect to their space so they can feel as if they are on vacation in their own home.

The simplicity of the one spillway adds that feeling of zen they were looking for and gives the area a sense of calm.

A challenge for this property was that it was not originally ideal for a pool to be put in due to its fairly steep slope and the homeowners were dejected at the idea that it wouldn’t be possible for them to receive the pool they dreamed of.

We overcame this setback by installing an engineered retaining wall that was quite unique in its larger size in order to accommodate the slope.

Essentially, we took an area that was originally not suitable for a pool and, with our expertise, made it work so that the homeowners could have their ideal backyard.
